Registering Obsolete Pesticides and Their Empty Containers
CropLife Kenya in collaboration with Kenya’s Ministry of Agriculture is working to locate and collect obsolete pesticides, veterinary products and their associated wastes in the country in a campaign called the CleanFarms Kenya.
Why are we carrying out this project?
As responsible suppliers of pesticide products, we are working to reduce the risks associated with obsolete stocks that will over time deteriorate. Old and unusable pesticides pose a potential risk to the environment and to human and animal health up to the point of their safe destruction. In addition, most grower protocols require high standards of waste management which includes appropriate disposal of obsolete pesticides and
